*Climate TEST is moved to Monday!  Be sure to study/learn/understand:
  • Greenhouse Effect
  • Effect of Greenhouse gases
  • Carbon Cycle - be able to explain the role of different parts and the time involved for different pathways through the cycle.
  • Describe the patterns and interpretations of the graph for CO2 and temperature anomaly that we made in class.  What does this graph show us and explain about climate?
AGENDA:
HOMEWORK:
  1. Finish graph if you did not in class
  2. Answer Carbon Dioxide and Temperature graph questions 1-6
  3. ORGANIZE YOUR NOTEBOOK - DUE TOMORROW!
  4. Study for Mondays TEST!
  5. Work on your Disaster Movie Project
EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY - Due by Monday May 4!
  • 60 POINTS IF DONE VERY WELL!
  • Determine what type of Volcano Calbuco is (see links above for a start - the volcano is in Chile)
  • Determine what type of plate boundary this volcano would form at.
  • Make a detailed, labeled diagram model of the type of plate boundary and the volcano. (think about the plate tectonics project and you get the idea!)
    • Your model should be able to explain through the images and labels** how and why the volcano formed at this plate boundary and explain what type of magma the volcano has and how that magma formed.
      • **Don't write a paragraph about this - draw and label.  Short explanations are ok.
    • Your model should be very neat and any writing must be easy to read.
    • Your model should be at least the size of one 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper or as large as a poster board.
    • Your model should be created by you and NOT COPIED FROM ANYWHERE!!
    • Points will be assigned based on the quality and accuracy of the diagram model.
