*The Geologic Time TEST will be next week on Wednesday!  Study each night from now until then to give yourself the best possible memories of what we have learned.
      -Also remember, you will be asked to write out your answers and explain how you know the answer.            You will need to reference the geologic principles that we learned and explain how you used them to              find the relative ages of rocks and you will be required to find the absolute ages of rocks much like we         did on today's homework problems.!**

HOMEWORK:

*The Geologic Time Unit TEST will be on Wed. Oct. 1!  If you did not feel very confident about today's quiz then you need to be studying your notes and homework.  Additionally, read chapter 12 in the textbook for more help.*

  • Turn in geologic rock sequences (if you were allowed extra time)
  • QUIZ - Geologic Principles and Relative Dating
  • Notes - Fossils
HOMEWORK:

  2. Study what we have learned about Geologic Time already!

*Feel like you need some Extra Credit?  Want to learn something cool about the Central Valley?  Then take a trip to the Fossil Discovery Center in Madera. Simply:

  • Go to the Fossil Discover Center.
  • Follow the directions as explained on the Geologic Time Unit sheet in your homework notebook.
  • Take a picture of yourself at the Museum.
  • Return your paper and photo to me to earn 50 points!
  • This will be good all year, so feel free to turn it in anytime!
