*Mrs. H's Birthday!*

**PROJECTS DUE TOMORROW AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS!**

AGENDA:

  • Plate Tectonics Project Work Time
HOMEWORK:
  1. Due tomorrow: Plate Tectonics Project - at the beginning of class!
  2. Plate Tectonics TEST and NOTEBOOK on Monday!
    1. the notebook list can be found on Wednesday's post
50 pt. EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY:

TURLOCK GEM AND MINERAL SHOW - MARCH 8 & 9 from  10 am-5 pm

To earn the 50 points:

  1. Go to the Gem and Mineral Show.
  2. Get the Scavenger Hunt paper when you enter and complete it - it must be 100% complete to get credit. (if you feel silly doing this its nice to bring a younger brother or sister to ask for it.  :)  )
  3. Show the nice old people and get it stamped or stickered - whatever they are doing this year.
  4. Put your name on it and turn it in to me the following week.

**TOMORROW IS MRS. HOLLISTER'S BIRTHDAY - YAY!  I MADE IT ANOTHER YEAR ON THIS BEAUTIFUL EARTH!!!  Here is a list of some things I did this last year:

  •  Had my son, Zephyr!!
  • Traveled to Albuquerque to see my brother and his new son!
  • Helped with the Modesto Junior College Geology class at Baker Station, Sonora Pass.
  • Stayed in Mammoth Lakes and hiked in the Sierra Nevada with friends from Germany and California.
  • Went to the Jet Propulsion Lab to talk with NASA scientists about the Curiosity Mission on Mars.
  • Cleared some important family photos out of our cabin in Twain Harte because of the Rim fire!
  • Went hiking in Bell Meadow with my husband and son.
  • Went to Yosemite 6 times!
  • Went to La Grange to see the salmon that were finally back this year spawn on the river - what a privilege!
  • Took Wildlink Club students to Yosemite for a hike.
  • Spent many wonderful first holidays with Zephyr!
  • Got to teach 160 wonderful students about our great home!
WHAT A GREAT YEAR - THANKS FOR BEING A PART OF IT!


*The work time for the project has been extended to include class tomorrow.  Thanks to all of the groups who worked so hard in class and did not waste any time.  For those groups who did not have their projects in class today, if you don't have them tomorrow you can expect to get some work from me.  :) *
