Hello Geosciencers!  Well, today is exciting for lots of reasons.

  1. Baby Zephyr is scheduled to be born today at 4 pm!
    1. Mr. Hollister's Website
  2. A large meteorite entered Earth's atmosphere over Russia and there is great video.  Check out the videos posted on Dan's Wild Wild Science Journal Blog.  My favorite is the one where you can hear the meteorite break the sound barrier and then you can hear the smaller pieces that broke off of it do the same.

  3. A large asteroid is passing very close to Earth today BUT WILL NOT IMPACT THE PLANET - THERE IS NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF!  Just remember we live in a very active universe that is full of exciting events.

I miss you all and hope you are continuing to be the best students you can be.  Study and work hard for yourselves and I'll visit in a few weeks!
