    • Update on Love Canal Pollution
      • 20 point Extra Credit - Read the article above on the Love Canal and COPY and ANSWER the following questions.
        • 1. How many years ago did the chemicals leak from the ground?
        • 2. Why did people move into the area again?  What motivated them to live there?
        • 3. What do the people who live there now say is happening to them?  Provide a specific example from the reading.
        • 4. The families have filed a lawsuit.  Who is being sued?
        • 5. What "Act" says that the company being sued is responsible for the chemicals?
        • 6.  What are some of the claims made by the lawsuit? 
        • 7. Do you think the people who are suing the company are right?  Explain your opinion citing details from the reading as support for your opinion.
