HOMEWORK:
- Due tomorrow: Questions for Fossils Diagrams
EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY - 30 points possible DUE no later than Friday, 9/27/13
- Choose a type of fossil to learn more about - it can be any type of fossil, not just the ones we saw in class.
- Do some research about the fossil and find out the following;
- What geologic time Period or Periods did the animal live during?
- Where are some places on Earth that this type of fossil can be found?
- Is this animal extinct or are they alive today?
- What type of environment did the animal live in? Try to be as detailed as possible, for example: "The ________ lived in a shallow marine environment like a coral reef."
- Find several good pictures of the fossil.
- Create a small poster about the fossil and include all the above information on the poster.
- The information on the poster can be typed but you should NOT copy and paste from the internet. All of you explanations and sentences should be your own.
