*Plate Tectonics Group Project will be Due on Thursday, February 20!  There will be a Plate Tectonics TEST and NOTEBOOK Check on Friday, February 21!*

  1.  Due Monday:   Final Lab write up.  Should include all procedures, observation notes, and the final explanation.  The final explanation should explain convection using all of the vocabulary words correctly and explain how your experiment or experiments did or did not show convection and why.
  2. Due by Wednesday: Signed grade printout

EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES - ALL DUE BY FRIDAY, FEB. 21

1. COPY and ANSWER any of the listed Assessment questions for chapter 9 (q’s 1-20,     found on pages 275) at the end of t he chapter. 
Please LABEL YOUR PAPER clearly with your name, period, Chapter 9 Assessment  Questions Extra Credit and the question #’s.  Correct answers will receive 1 extra credit point each.  

2. Plate Tectonics  News Article write up (20 pts.) –Find a recent (within the last year) newspaper article about any of the topics covered in chapter 9.  Print or cut it out and write a 1 page paper about what the article says and how it is related to what we have learned about PLATE TECTONICS.

3. Bring tissues - it's allergy/cold/flu season and we are out of tissue.  Bring in a box of tissue for the class so we can keep our noses dry.  10 points for each box.  You may bring up to 3 boxes.
