*The Geologic Time TEST is tomorrow.  Be sure that you have studied and reviewed all the material for this unit.  You should also have your notebook organized by tomorrow.*

AGENDA:

• Writing Assignment: Your assignment is to answer the question "Should the Anthropocene be added to the Geologic Time Scale?"
• Your answer should be written clearly, simply, and neatly.
• Your answer should include 
• your opinion on whether the epoch should be added
• a description of how geologic time is divided
• supporting evidence for your opinion from the article "An Anthropogenic Marker Horizon in the Future Rock Record".  (Article here )
• The paper will be graded on the quality of your answer and the supporting information for your answer, not the number of paragraphs or sentences you write.

*The Geologic Time TEST will be next week on Wednesday!  Study each night from now until then to give yourself the best possible memories of what we have learned.
      -Also remember, you will be asked to write out your answers and explain how you know the answer.            You will need to reference the geologic principles that we learned and explain how you used them to              find the relative ages of rocks and you will be required to find the absolute ages of rocks much like we         did on today's homework problems.!**

*The Geologic Time Unit TEST will be on Wed. Oct. 1!  If you did not feel very confident about today's quiz then you need to be studying your notes and homework.  Additionally, read chapter 12 in the textbook for more help.*

*Feel like you need some Extra Credit?  Want to learn something cool about the Central Valley?  Then take a trip to the Fossil Discovery Center in Madera. Simply:

• Follow the directions as explained on the Geologic Time Unit sheet in your homework notebook.
• Take a picture of yourself at the Museum.
• Return your paper and photo to me to earn 50 points!
