  • Lab - Calculating the Richter Magnitude and Epicenter of an Earthquake

HOMEWORK:
  1. Due Tuesday: Complete Earthquake # 2 on the lab and answer lab questions
  2. Study for TEST on Thursday!
EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY - 40 points possible
  • Complete 1 or 2 additional earthquakes ONLINE and E-MAIL ME  the CERTIFICATE
    • Go to the link below and choose either the Southern California or the Mexico Earthquake (you may do both if you wish!) Each earthquake is worth 20 points of extra credit!
    • Follow the directions to find the Epicenter and Magnitude of the earthquake.
    • When you are finished you must e-mail me the certificate of completion by selecting the box that says e-mail.  Fill out your name and then put the name of the earthquake after your name.

    • Send it to my e-mail address at LHollister@turlock.k12.ca.us AND  send it to yourself or print it out.  The reason for this is that sometimes the district spam filter does not let me receive them and I want you to have an extra copy to show me if you need to.

    • Check in with me to see if I received your certificate - if I did not you may print out your copy or forward your copy to my e-mail address.
